I've finally reached my limit with my current living situation. It's been brewing for several months, but the last straw was when my landlord made me cry on my birthday. I'm not entirely sure where he gets the idea that it's acceptable to speak to people like absolute s**t, but I wasn't prepared to take it, and promptly handed in my notice two days later. Honestly, you'd think I was getting a free ride the way he spoke to me, not that I pay them hundreds of pounds every month to live like a prisoner. Anyway...
I feel like a bit of a nomad. This will be my 12th move in 11 years. I was due to move out in November, but the birthday incident made me have a mini meltdown. Some dear friends of mine offered me a room in their house for a few months. They have a 3-year-old son who is an absolute legend, and I know they'll be easy going, friendly and accepting. Bonus.
So I'm packing my life into boxes. Again. But in a couple of weeks I'll be free!
That really sucks, but you need home to be a place of refuge - not stress!

ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that he made you cry--so not okay! But I am glad that you do have somewhere to go if even for a little while. I went through a period of time (not long ago) where I was moving every year for 10 years. I'm hoping that is over for me and hoping that soon it'll be over for you as well!
