So I've decided to sell my old clothes and let my trash become someone else's treasure. Like many fashion-loving people, I used to spend hours uploading items to eBay or Amazon, but am increasingly becoming disenchanted with the whole process. There's nothing more deflating than dutifully typing out long descriptions and taking numerous photographs, only to watch your eBay items remain unsold.
By all accounts, Music Magpie is far, far easier. You simply choose a brand, select a couple of options including the type of garment, the size and fabric, and they give you a price. You can even offload old hair straighteners and scan CD and DVD barcodes. Once you've packed up your items, you can either drop them off at one of thousands of nominated shops, or, if you're lazy like me, get their courier to pick them up for free. Not only will you rid your house of unwanted clothes (making room for more shopping - yay!) you're purse will be happy for it too!
I certainly have enough unwanted clothes to justify a Music Magpie sell, and am contemplating a blog sale for any additional bits that they're not able to take. Has anyone else given a blog sale a go? How did you find it?
I'd like to say that I'm going to tone down my clothes shopping and make more use of the items I own, but I'm a girl who loves to shop. The shift from a summer to an autumn wardrobe is always enlightening. Every year I figure I have plenty of warm woolly cardigans and thick tights stashed away to see me through, but I end up finding them tired and bobbly from the season before, and definitely in need of upgrading. Plus I have a Warehouse voucher burning a hole in my pocket, so I've been scouring the site (their current sale is amazing by the way!) for some suitable bits to add to my collection. I'd better start hunting for some bargains!
